TRAINING

Pip and Steve take pride in the conditioning of their horses ensuring they are healthy, happy and contented.

A 650m training track is part of the facilities on their farm base at Bennetts near Oxford and is used extensively for younger stock. Because of the area they are also able to train on the roadside where horses get accustomed to traffic and other distractions. Included in the 20km roadside circuit are two 800m sprint lanes which enables the horses to stretch out.

Pip has a full driving license and Steve, who also formally held a full drivers license, are both very experienced in training and working with horses.

Steve does most of the breaking in of the young stock.

Wakelin-Noble Racing Stables are your "One Stop Training Facility" where they will wean your foals and give them their early education and handling, then break them in through to training for racing.

Included in the team that help keep the horses at their peak are the Farrier - Adam White, Acupuncturist/Therapist - Lillian Bonner, Vets - Rangiora Equine Services, who are available as required and Allens horse centre.
